This simple website is put out there by just one person who wishes to highlight the stories and experiences of just one person, one family, one community. Views from behind the scenes.

The Unseen Toll

As the days of destruction and horror turned into weeks and then months the unbearable burden of loss, grief and ongoing hardship has affected the bushfire victims deeply.

The outpouring of love, care, support and help has been amazing towards the people and communities that have been through so much, but many cannot sleep at night. Many more just cannot function yet.

Things are just not that simple, there is a long road to recovery.

Australians are tough, good will come, but life will look very different for so many. Let's check on or neighbours, friends and families. Help them to hang in there to see a brighter day.
